Projects in Slovenia  Medication record on Health Insurance Card

The database written on the Health Insurance Card was in 2005 extended with a record of prescribed medication for each individual card holder. We were actively involved in the preparation of instructions for software companies for supplementation of their software with the necessary functionalities regarding medication record on the health insurance card. We also supplemented our software solutions.
In the second half of 2005 the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia carried out a pilot project in the region of Nova Gorica. The introduction of prescribed medication record on the health insurance card was nationally carried out in the spring of 2006.
