SBL for sanitary laboratories
SBL is an information system designed to support work in laboratories
for sanitary microbiology, which examine food samples, surface smears, spore carriers
to control sterilisation procedures, objects of general use, air and other
samples from environment as well as drinking, bathing and waste water samples.
It enables monitoring of work from an examination order, examination performance
and result recording to invoicing of performed services and creation of various
analyses and statistical reports.
The laboratories perform examinations for food manufacturers, communal service,
different medical institutions and individual clients. The results from such
examinations help the experts to make decisions and necessary measures in their
expert fields. Various circumstances demand quick reactions, thus such examinations
are performed on a daily basis. The microbiological laboratory Celje yearly
performs about 30.000 examinations, especially examinations of different water
and food samples. Performing the examinations successfully certainly requires
an appropriate information support.
