MBL for microbiology laboratories

MBL is an information system designed to support work in medical microbiology laboratories, which perform microbiological examinations of samples taken from patients. It enables monitoring of work from an examination order, examination performance and result recording to invoicing of performed services and creation of various analyses and statistical reports.
Results of laboratory analyses are extremely important and crucial; reliable and timely lab results are the basis for a physician’s efficient treatment prescription. That is why it is extremely important for the process of microbiological sample examinations to be supported by an information system that enables a fast and reliable access to all necessary data. The microbiological laboratory in the Celje regional institute of public health performs approximately 160.000 medical microbiology examinations per year using the information system MBL.
