iRIS21 is SRC Infonet’s new solution for work support in functional diagnostics and integration of digital devices with basic medical or hospital information system and is designed for users in all departments that produce images or videos.

Experiences with past projects have shown that partial integration of HIS and RIS does not bring best results and that only complex and comprehensive integration of HIS as a central information system and RIS as an expert information system in radiology (including full integration of all devices) can bring the desired results and optimal IT support of the work of clinicians and radiologists, and therefore the maximum level of patient treatment quality.

With this in mind we developed our own PACS system, which is fully integrated with our hospital information system BIRPIS21 and primary healthcare information system ISOZ21, unlike PACS/RIS products developed by other providers. This means that nurses, clinical doctors and other professional medical staff use iRIS21 for scheduling patients and reviewing images and test results through the basic application BIRPIS21 or ISOZ21, however, professional medical staff in departments uses PACS solutions tools that are adjusted to different modalities or departments, which ensures full traceability of all tests related to a patient. The connection also reduces potential errors in the treatment of individual patients.

iRIS21 supports various modalities, such as a radiology department (MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, ...), departments of endoscopy, colonoscopy, laryngoscopy, laparoscopy, histology, cardiology with ultrasound and Doppler device, different cameras, etc. The use of standards such as DICOM and HL7 plays a very important role here. The solution IRIS21 is also fully localized (e.g. local writings, caron letter support).

Since the images and test results are stored in a computer system, data can easily be maintained and filed and can only be accessed by authorized users. Each user can access data, confirm test results, etc. exclusively by his login name and password; all activities are monitored and stored, which ensures a secure IT solution that meets all respective legal regulations.
